Den ukendte motorcyklist har i årevis været i politiets søgelys på grund af sin vanvittige kørsel, som bliver optaget på video.

”Ghostrider” blev et kendt navn på samme tid som den første film med samme titel i 2002, da han kørte med en gennemsnitshastighed tæt på 280 kilometer i timen mellem Stockholm og Uppsala.

Siden har den sortklædte motorcyklist udført livsfarlige tricks, som f.eks. kørsel på baghjulet i den tætte trafik i Stockholm.

Videoerne har gennem årene skaffet den mystiske mand en stor fanskare på internettet, men nu kan han have afsløret sig selv foran kameraet.

En ny film, som den svenske avis Aftonbladet har fået en kopi af, undersøges i øjeblikket af politiet.

Filmen viser en motorcyklist, som bliver forfulgt af flere patruljevogne. Mod slutningen af filmen ser man motorcyklen blive parkeret i en garage, mens kameraet ruller videre.

I de følgende minutter passerer en mand flere gange forbi kameraet, og på et klip kan man se hans ansigt.

Ann Lindberg fra det svenske færdselspoliti har set videoen, som også indeholder et dokument, der udpeger en 40-årig mand som "Ghostrider".

"At han ikke har kvæstet nogen, er et mirakel. At han selv lever endnu, er et endnu større mirakel," siger hun.

Aftonbladet har været i kontakt med den 40-årige mand, der udpeges på videoen.

Han erkender, at han har været involveret i distributionen af filmene, men afviser, at han er "Ghostrider",
